About the role
- Join AES as an Analyst in Operational Technology supporting renewable energy assets across the US. Troubleshoot systems for monitoring and controlling power generation at utility-scale sites.
Responsibilities
- Support the systems that enable real-time monitoring and control of energy assets (SCADA, Energy Management Systems, telemetry, and site communications)
- Troubleshoot issues impacting visibility, control, and data flow across hundreds of distributed sites
- Assist in restoring operations during outages and degraded system conditions
- Configure and maintain network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Support device-level communications (relays, inverters, meters, RTACs, etc.)
- Perform root cause analysis across network connectivity issues, SCADA/data gaps, device communication failures
- Participate in an on-call rotation supporting critical infrastructure
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on / military experience
- 1-2 years of related experience
- Ability to travel up to 50% (site visits across renewable energy assets)
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card
- Ability to work in field environments requiring PPE
