Responsibilities
Own the strategy, planning, and execution for modern IT infrastructure for software, cybersecurity, cloud, data, and AI systems in support of government space missions.
Work across intradivision stakeholders to assess IT infrastructure needs for software, cybersecurity, cloud, data, and AI research and prototyping.
Collaborate with cloud, cybersecurity, and IT experts and leadership across departments to build cross-functional technical teams to achieve project goals.
Lead teams researching cutting edge IT infrastructure technologies and developing prototypes to demonstrate and benchmark their capabilities for government space missions.
Collaborate with mission owners to integrate space-based platforms (e.g., small satellites) into software, cybersecurity, cloud, data, and AI research and prototyping environments.
Create and deliver presentations to internal teams, executives, and external stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, software engineering, or a related STEM field.
At least 12 years of experience working with software, IT systems, and related technologies.
At least 5 years of experience working with cloud and cybersecurity systems.
Proven track record of leading engineering teams, coordinating complex technical tasks among team members, and translating customer needs into viable instructions for engineers.
Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete tasks, learn new technical approaches, and interact effectively with a broad range of organizations.
Successful history of promoting positive team dynamics, mentoring team members, and working effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
In depth knowledge of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, roadmaps, and risk management.
In depth knowledge and hands on experience with at least one public cloud vendor (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Experience in designing, developing, implementing, operating, and evolving IT infrastructure systems in support of technical users.
Willing to travel domestically to work locations and customer sites up to 15%, if required.
This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
