Contract Manager responsible for the contractual management of national and international projects in industrial process solutions. Collaborating with operational business units to ensure legally sound and economically optimal contracts.
Responsibilities
Contractual support for national and international projects from the request for offers through contract execution
Management and monitoring of contracts and nondisclosure agreements (NDAs)
Systematic review of offers, tenders and contractual bases
Identification and assessment of legal and commercial risks and opportunities
Evaluation of contract terms with regard to rights and obligations
Identification of potential claims and implementation of necessary wording amendments
Strategic advisory to management and business units
Preparation and support of contract negotiations
Ensuring compliance with national and international policies, laws and sanctions requirements
Participation in the development of contract management processes, templates and tools
Preparation of meaningful reports and risk analyses to support management decision-making
Requirements
Completed degree in Business Administration, Business Law, Engineering or a comparable field
At least 3–5 years' experience in contract/claim management, preferably in a technical or industrial environment
Solid knowledge of commercial and contract law
Proven experience with framework/master agreements
Experience in claims management and risk analysis
Practical experience with export control regulations, embargoes and dual‑use issues
Negotiation‑level proficiency in German and English
Excellent advisory and negotiation skills
Structured, analytical and solution‑oriented working style
Experience with contract management tools, project controlling and MS Office
Certifications in compliance, export control or contract management are desirable
Willingness to travel depending on project requirements
