About the role
- Purchaser for electromechanical components and mechanical parts at telecommunications company. Focus on procurement processes, supplier management, and market observation.
Responsibilities
- Managing inquiries, including price and delivery-date negotiations
- Placing orders and comparing quotations
- Responsibility for supplier selection, processing and evaluation
- Conducting annual negotiations with suppliers
- Continuous optimization through performance monitoring
- Ensuring long-term and fair cooperation with suppliers
- Ongoing market monitoring for new products and price developments
- Preparing proposals for inventory planning, substitution and sell-off
Requirements
- At least 3 years of proven purchasing experience, preferably in a senior role
- Completed vocational training or degree in business administration or a related field
- Technical aptitude and an interest in technical processes and products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
- Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in MS Office
- Strong team skills and ability to collaborate across different hierarchy levels
- Flexibility and willingness to travel for business (approximately 10% travel)
