About the role
- Staff Software Engineer designing and building components of Stellar Core for blockchain financial solutions. Collaborating with engineers and CTO on scalable, extensible technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and build key components of Stellar Core
- Design and develop robust, scalable, and extensible technologies
- Collaborate on new architectures and subsystems alongside CTO and engineers
- Write clean, maintainable code with an emphasis on edge case analysis
- Own core subsystems and help the team hit critical product milestones
- Collaborate on code review and design, contributing to best practices
- Investigate and refactor performance bottlenecks
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience developing software on a team
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent field
- Proficiency in modern C++ or Rust in a production environment
- Solid understanding of software design patterns
- Knowledge of best practices and development tools
- Passion for performance debugging and benchmarking
- Experience with designing and implementing distributed systems is a plus
- Strong curiosity in blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies
