About the role
- Senior UI/UX Designer creating high-fidelity mockups and prototypes for games at Skydance, focusing on immersive user interfaces and experiences.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the UX/UI Lead and Art Team to create high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, design systems, and style guides.
- Assist Game Designers and UI Engineers in building rapid prototypes in both Flat and VR environments.
- Take wireframes and bring them to life with visuals and animation.
- Implement final art in Unreal Editor using UMG, animations, materials, etc.
Requirements
- Must have a strong portfolio showing UI/UX designs for multiple shipped games for a variety of platforms.
- Experience in Unreal Engine, specifically blueprints and UMG.
- Strong artistic skills and the ability to create and implement in Unreal Engine.
- Experience with building UI materials & shaders in Unreal Engine.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to creative and innovative solutions.
- Able to accept constructive criticism and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- 5+ years’ developing a game in a professional setting, with experience developing a multi-platform game from concept to launch.
- Previous experience as a designer on a game title
- Experience providing feedback and guidance to other designers - helping them stay on track and true to the overall vision of the game
- You have a solid grasp of the UI/UX development workflow, able to mentor more junior staff members
- Ability to focus, self-task and work without micro-management while adhering to schedules.
