About the role
- Senior Technical Consultant developing Oracle Configurator solutions for clients. Collaborating on requirements and ensuring high quality in delivery with a focus on client needs.
Responsibilities
- Inventory setups: Creation of new items, Catalog groups, ATO/PTO models and org assignment
- Bills of Material: Bills creations and importing them into Configurator Developer
- Model Development: Design, build, and modify product configuration models, including the structure, rules, and user interface (UI).
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into functional configuration requirements.
- Rule & Logic Design: Develop and implement complex logic and rules for the configurator to ensure valid configurations and unique product requirements.
- UI Design & Customization: Create and customize user interfaces based on model structure and business requirements.
- Integration: Support and maintain the integration of configurator models with other business modules, such as Order Management, Bill of Materials, and Inventory.
- Testing: Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure configurations meet business requirements.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Resolve issues related to the configuration models and their integration with other systems.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation for configuration models and related processes.
- Deployment & Maintenance: Manage the deployment of configurator models and provide post-production support.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Oracle Configurator Developer and related areas.
- Knowledge of Oracle Inventory, BOM and Order Management
- Hands on experience in developing Configurator models along with Configurator rules
- Good Knowledge on CZ tables
- Strong knowledge & experience with Configurator extension
- Experience on Core Java, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, and SQL/PLSQL
- Knowledge on Configure to order and order to cash cycles
- Ability to understand and program complex configuration scenarios but also logically explain the required details to others
- Provide technical guidance & support to junior developers and project teams
- Collaborate with clients and project teams to gather and analyse configuration requirements
- Document configuration solutions, best practices, and project work for knowledge sharing.
- Perform system configuration, integration, and testing to ensure the solution meets client requirements.
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered with a high level of responsibility, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
