Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of high-quality software in every sprint cycle
- Contribute to product design and development to ensure quality is considered from the outset
- Execute functional tests, regression tests, performance tests and acceptance tests to identify and report defects and ensure their timely resolution
- Perform root cause analyses to identify and address the underlying causes of defects and quality issues
- Propose and implement improvements to QA processes and testing methodologies
- Maintain and update test documentation and test plans in accordance with applicable compliance requirements
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts to increase efficiency and reduce manual testing effort
- Specify and assist in the automation of test scenarios covering various functional modules of the system
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a comparable field
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance or Software Development, ideally in a start-up environment
- Solid experience in quality assurance for mobile applications and web applications
- ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level
- Strong expertise in test planning, test case design and test execution across multiple test levels (functional, regression, performance, etc.)
- Confident use of test automation with common tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, Robot)
- Very good knowledge of QA methods, tools and processes
- Experience with agile development methodologies and working with Jira or similar project management tools
- High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality
- Strong team and communication skills (English at least C1 and German at least B2) and willingness to share knowledge and support colleagues
- A major plus: experience in regulated industries (e.g., HealthTech, Automotive, Aerospace, etc.) and familiarity with software lifecycle or quality management standards (e.g., IEC 62304 or ISO 13485)
- ISTQB Certified Tester – Advanced Level (Test Analyst)
- Experience with performance testing tools and related test methods
- Experience working with Xray test management (e.g., in combination with Jira)
- Familiarity with Linux environments
