About the role
- Senior Plant Process Engineer at Svante, optimizing carbon capture gas processing plants. Engaging with customers and managing engineering deliverables for commercial CO2 capture projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and optimize carbon capture gas processing plants for various industrial applications.
- Support early engagement & technical discussions with potential customers.
- Scale up a novel solid adsorption gas separation process from pilot plant size to full commercial scale CO2 capture plant.
- Manage project-related basic process engineering deliverables including flow diagrams, balances, and major equipment specifications.
- Prepare the Basis of Design document detailing utility availability, emissions limits, and system performance requirements.
- Ensure safety and regulatory compliance, conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in chemical process development, design, and operations.
- Strong technical background in gas processing, steam generation systems, and CO₂ capture technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Hands-on experience in gas plant construction, commissioning, and project engineering management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems and deliver results in challenging environments.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
