About the role
- Senior Director of Product Management overseeing locomotive electronics architecture strategy and integration. Driving product solutions and growth while collaborating across multiple teams and platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the locomotive on-board cab electronics architecture strategy
- Define the integration and optimization roadmap for electronics hardware and software
- Simplify the architecture and improve customer experience
- Drive profitable growth by reporting to the Vice President of Product Management & Technology
- Work cross-functionally with Digital Intelligence, Equipment, and Service businesses
- Deliver compelling product solutions and innovative technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in the areas of Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Product Management/General Management, Commercial, or Engineering
- 5 years industry experience in railroad, Controls or electronics industry
- Experience in dealing effectively with customers at senior and technical levels
- Demonstrated commercial intensity and a relentless drive to win and grow the product line and revenue
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation / communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to influence across organizations
- Strong business analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills
- Must be willing to travel 25%+ of the time
