About the role
- Senior Medical Director for mRNA Vaccines at Pfizer responsible for strategic medical activities. Leading a team and collaborating with stakeholders for mRNA vaccine development.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting all aspects of the development and execution of strategic medical and scientific activities related to mRNA vaccines
- Support the US Viral and Maternal Vaccines Lead in all aspects related to mRNA Vaccines
- Lead a team supporting all aspects related to mRNA Vaccines
- Serve as a US advocate for the vaccine’s medical organization
- Support successful launch and recommendations for mRNA vaccines
- Evaluate potential recommendations for mRNA vaccines
- Interact with external stakeholders including ACIP
- Partner with US Commercial leads to ensure medical/commercial alignment
- Serve as the US project champion, negotiating with & influencing stakeholders
- Work within a matrixed team to foster strong professional relationships
Requirements
- MD required
- 5+ years' experience in vaccines, infectious diseases, epidemiology, and/or public health
- Strong work ethic, and proven track record of delivering high quality within timelines
- Clinical, formulary, and/or other management experience
- Managed Care, pharmaceutical industry, and/or Quality Improvement Data Analytics and/or HEOR activities
- Demonstrated strong methodological skills in health services research
- Ability to analyze, define, and convey complex concepts
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
- Well-organized with flexibility to prioritize multiple demands
- Ability to lead a team, maximizing productivity
