About the role

Responsibilities
- Analyze and organize raw data from millions of active users
- Build, maintain and operate data systems and pipelines on AWS
- Evaluate business needs and objectives, map them to requirements
- Strategically align data architecture with company needs and goals
- Detect, investigate and interpret data trends and patterns
- Conduct complex data analysis and report on results
Requirements
- Professional experience in Data Engineering using cloud platforms (AWS strongly preferred)
- Data architecture understanding and experience is a must, focused particularly around current concepts of Data Mesh architecture
- Strong Software Engineering skills and expertise with data mining and analytics
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Scala, Python, Java)
- Experience with Apache Spark and Hadoop is highly desirable
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g. QuickSight, Adverity, Looker) is of advantage
- Hands-on experience with SQL database design
- Understanding, experience, and interest in the possibilities of emerging AI tooling and practices in software engineering
- Great numerical, analytical and statistical skills
- A degree in Computer and/or Data Science would be an advantage
- Business fluent in English, preferably German as well
