About the role

Responsibilities
- Analyze client business processes and write requirements and user stories for our software
- Document business and technical needs and propose practical solutions
- Support QA by helping design test strategies and test cases, and by validating results
- Share information across teams (project managers, developers, and other stakeholders)
- Balance business and technology needs and communicate with both groups
- Use database skills to deliver effective business solutions
- Identify the organization’s strengths and weaknesses and suggest improvements
- Document specifications and translate requirements into SQL scripts, reports, forms, and workflows
- Act as a liaison to help define technology solutions to complex, cross‑functional problems with long‑term impact
- Recommend solutions to improve decision‑making, focusing on core systems, technology strategy, and standards
- Facilitate group meetings and workshops
- Work with the development team to create project documentation, including functional and technical requirements
- Work with clients and coordinate major development projects to define tasks, assign owners, and set target dates
- Help prepare implementations and ensure they follow standards and procedures
- Test software updates and confirm they meet user acceptance criteria.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in finance, economics, math, programming, or a related quantitative field (preferred)
- 8+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst
- Solid Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to write data analysis scripts
- Extensive hands‑on SQL experience for data analysis and data modeling
- Experience with large and complex datasets is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and persistence in problem solving
- Experience across all phases of the SDLC
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
