About the role

Power BI Senior Consultant optimizing data models and providing analytics solutions for clients. Collaborating in a DevOps team to ensure effective data delivery and high-quality performance management.

Responsibilities

Data modeling & DAX optimization: Design and maintenance of high-performance data models based on our clients' requirements.
Data quality & performance: Designing and implementing modular data models that ensure high data quality and integrity, and optimizing load times and performance in Power BI dashboards and reports.
Data pipelines & integration: Designing, developing, and optimizing efficient data pipelines that enable scalable and secure processing of data from various sources, as well as integrating different data sources and formats (relational, JSON, XML) for seamless analytics.
DevOps is practiced throughout: You will independently develop data sources and data pipelines within a DevOps team to ensure effective data delivery for use cases and their consumption.
Communication is key: You will be in close, continuous communication with clients to ensure professional expectation management and client satisfaction; with your project team to ensure project success; and with the Woodmark team to promote knowledge sharing and mutual support.

Project experience: You have at least three years of experience developing data models, data pipelines, and analytical solutions.
Expertise: You are comfortable with the Microsoft Power Platform, in particular Power BI (including DAX & Power Query), Power Automate, and Power Apps.
Experience implementing analytical data models (e.g., Data Vault 2.0) using SQL, dbt Core, or Python; and applying data protection and security policies as well as best practices in this area.
Knowledge of working with various data structures and storage models (3NF, Data Vault, Star Schema).
Stakeholder-oriented mindset: You have experience collaborating with stakeholders at different levels.
Excellent German and English skills: You are comfortable working in German and with English documentation, and able to participate when project work is conducted in English.
