About the role
- QA Automation Engineer responsible for automation test creation and maintenance for B2B SaaS sports data solutions. Collaborating with QA specialists and developers to improve testing processes.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of the most critical parts of application/sub-application to be covered with automation tests
- Identification, creation and break down test scenarios on Smoke, Sanity and Regression types
- Test and verify complex web applications and middleware systems by following best practices, using automated tests with proper documentation
- Participate in the analysis of the product requirements and evaluate information required for testing
- Participate in the planning of the delivery pipeline by estimating time required for testing
- Take an active role in root cause analysis and troubleshooting of misbehaving applications
- Available for collaboration with the immediate team and the direct line manager
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience testing commercial software products (WEB)
- Commercial experience of automation testing with most of: JavaScript with Typescript, NodeJS, Mocha or similar test runners
- Excellent understanding of SDLC QA processes – planning, cases, bug tracking, reporting
- Experience with distributed applications (SOA / Broker / Client-Server patterns, RESTful APIs)
- Experience working with relational and non-relational databases
- Familiarity with Jenkins and/or another CI/CD framework
- Very good written and spoken English (we’re a multi-national team)
- Critical thinker with problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
