About the role
- Property Compliance Officer ensuring statutory obligations for landlord safety and compliance; requires liaising with tenants, staff, and contractors.
Responsibilities
- We are recruiting for a brand-new role to join our Property Services team, ensuring all statutory and regulatory obligations are met in relation to landlord property safety and compliance responsibilities.
- The role will see liaison with tenants, staff, contractors and head landlords, as well as the development of systems and administrative processes.
Requirements
- A strong understanding and knowledge of relevant property compliance and health and safety legislation and the application of appropriate policies and procedures to support landlord compliance.
- Experience in the housing sector, particularly in regulated environments and property compliance.
- Managing complex data sets relating to property safety and compliance, interrogating compliance certification to ascertain validity and in order to identify follow-up actions.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify non-compliance or gaps in data or reporting.
- Experience of building effective partnerships and links with a range of internal teams and external organisations.
- A Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which will be paid for by Southdown.
- A full driving licence is essential along with access to your own vehicle or a vehicle insured for you.
