About the role
- Principal Design & Construction Manager leading healthcare project designs and constructions. Driving capital projects to meet safety and sustainability standards in the United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and construction of major capital works.
- Client-side project teams for major hospital redevelopments & diagnostic clinic developments.
- Manage all legal matters associated to the delivery of the projects under contract.
- Lead a strategic capital plan programme.
- Drive excellence in project planning, design, and implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners (architects, surveyors, contractors) to shape future-ready workspaces.
- Ensure compliance with Construction Design and Management Regulations, sustainability frameworks, and safety standards.
- Champion innovation in building design, technology, and sustainability across the property portfolio.
Requirements
- Proven experience in design and delivery of mechanical and electrical fit outs, ideally within healthcare or complex environments.
- Strong track record in large acquisitions and refurbishment of aged buildings.
- 10+ years in property project management within a major corporate or healthcare setting.
- Degree in Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field; RICS or equivalent chartership.
- Expertise in contract negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.
- Familiarity with BREEAM, WELL, LEED certifications and BIM/CAD tools is a plus.
