About the role
- Advise Desjardins members and businesses on investments, loans and insurance. Build relationships, assess needs, design financial strategies, and represent the caisse in the community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain lasting and trusting business relationships with members and clients
- Listen to members’ and clients’ needs, offer advice and help choose appropriate solutions to meet financial goals
- Work closely with a client base consisting mainly of individual members and businesses
- Recommend investments, loans and insurance products to drive results
- Balance member/client satisfaction, business objectives, profitability and sound and prudent risk management
- Work with partners and experts to design integrated financial strategies
- Advise members and clients on best strategies and identify expected results
- Manage business relationships, assess member/client satisfaction and service quality, follow up and identify areas for improvement
- Stay up-to-date on the financial services industry, market trends and best practices
- Participate in outreach activities and represent the caisse in the community
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience
- Mutual fund representative certificate – Autorité des marchés financiers
- Knowledge of French is required
- Knowledge of current financial, economic, political and legislative events
- Debt management
- Notions of compliance with legislation respecting the distribution of financial products and services
- Understanding of the philosophy and fundamentals of financial services cooperatives
- Knowledge of policies, legislation and standards related to products and services offered by the caisse
- Familiarity with Desjardins business processes and service standards
- Techniques used to assess and monitor individual financing applications
