About the role
- Member Consultant II delivering financial services and support to BECU members. Identifying and addressing consumer financial needs while providing expertise in specialized financial services.
Responsibilities
- delivering a seamless and high-quality member experience
- identifying, diagnosing, and addressing members’ consumer financial needs
- referring members to specialized services when necessary
- serving as a subject matter expert, resolving members' needs and providing expertise in specialized financial services
- utilizing product knowledge to provide excellent customer service and sales
- assisting the community with financial wellness through financial education programs, budgeting assistance, debt management, or access to financial planning resources
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience
- Minimum two years of experience in a sales-oriented, financial, or retail environment
- One year of experience in a financial institution is desired
- Thorough understanding of the sales process and ability to manage a sales pipeline efficiently
- Strong proficiency and comfort level with learning new systems and programs
- Ability to successfully complete 12-week in-house training program after hire
- Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Credit Union key objectives, product and service solutions
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to membership, deposit, and loan products and services offered
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills to enable daily communication with Members
- Proficient math aptitude and analytical skills
- Problem resolution, negotiating, organization, multi-tasking and peer coaching skills
