About the role
- Mechanical Engineer working on suspension, driveline, and powertrain design for vehicle dynamics optimization. Engaging in innovative projects, including Electric & Hybrid technology.
Responsibilities
- Produce high quality design solutions for all types of suspension, driveline and powertrain
- Deliver cost effective project designs on time
- Maintain a keen awareness of industry trends and new developments in technology across driveline, suspension & powertrain
- Communicate and present clearly both internally and externally to clients
- Contribute to the ongoing update of the Timoney knowledge
- Help develop quality standards
Requirements
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or significant directly relevant experience)
- A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience is desirable
- Experience of vehicle design and development would be a distinct advantage
- Experience of using one or more of the CAD systems (SolidWorks, ProE or CATIA)
- Proven experience with design analysis tools such as ANSYS would be very desirable
- Experience in using simulation tools (e.g. ADAMS, Matlab/Simulink or equivalent) would be a distinct advantage
- The candidate must have permission to work in Ireland.
