About the role
- Project Manager overseeing project scope, timelines, and deliverables in tax technology. Supporting client relationships and providing project management for tax automation services.
Responsibilities
- Manage project scope, tasks, project teams, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Oversee functional and technical direction of projects
- Prepare and review deliverables in connection with client service
- Provide project management support to client service teams
- Create processes to track adherence to project timelines and budgets
- Develop client workplans and schedules associated with project deliverables
- Maintain and support existing partnerships and client relationships
- Assist with business development activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree from a four-year college or university
- 5 to 7 years of experience providing tax automation services is required
- Knowledge of the applicability of sales and seller’s use taxes on retail transactions
- Familiar with a retailer’s organizational process, such as merchandising and price determination
- Knowledge of “brick and mortar” and e-commerce transaction lifecycle is a plus
- Certified Public Accountant designation is a plus
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certified is preferred
- Understanding of Software development lifecycles (SDLC, Agile, etc.) is a plus
- Strong knowledge of software solutions (Sabrix, Vertex, Taxware) is required
