About the role
- Student intern assisting with finance, budgeting, and reporting in an art startup. Collaborating with the founder team to establish financial strategies and structures.
Responsibilities
- In close collaboration with our founding team, you will take responsibility for operational and strategic finance matters.
- Financial structure & processes: You will help us build a functioning system for accounting, controlling and reporting.
- Budget planning & forecasting: You will assist in creating and monitoring budgets, develop simple forecast models and analyze variances.
- Payment management: Preparation, execution and documentation of payments to artists, employees and partners.
- KPI analysis: You will identify and track relevant metrics to better understand our financial performance.
- Fundraising & growth: If you wish, you can work with us on investor presentations, grant applications and financial strategies.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field
- Some experience in accounting, controlling or start-ups (e.g., through internships or part-time jobs)
- Interest in strategic finance and a desire to help shape things
- Analytical thinking and a structured working style
- Confident user of Excel/Google Sheets; experience with tools such as DATEV
- Very good German skills and a hands-on mentality.
