About the role

• IT-Systemadministrator overseeing IT infrastructure operations at UNITE+ Consulting. Responsibilities include systems installation, maintenance and administration across various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure — from the server landscape to client management
• Install, maintain and automate systems on Linux and Windows, and ensure stable operations through well-considered scripting
• Manage and maintain virtualization environments (ESXi, Proxmox, Hyper-V) to keep them technically sound
• Work with container-based environments (Docker, Docker Swarm or Kubernetes) and support their setup and upkeep
• Operate internal services based on Apache Tomcat and IBM DB2, continuously learn and identify efficient solutions
• Contribute to areas such as network administration and hardware management to ensure everything runs smoothly
• Act as a point of contact for colleagues and deliver pragmatic, working solutions

Requirements

• Some initial experience in IT administration and ideally in DevOps — or a strong desire to dive into this area
• Comfortable working in both Linux and Windows environments and open to trying new tools and technologies
• Curious about virtualization, containerization and scripting
• Work in a structured way, think proactively and take responsibility for your own tasks
• Interest in the broader picture — from networking and server hardware to database-driven applications
• Understand that technology is only good if it works for others, and enjoy working solution-oriented in collaboration with colleagues and clients
• Willingness to undergo a security screening in accordance with the SÜG (German Security Clearance Act)
