About the role

• Generative AI Engineer focused on building and deploying GenAI solutions at Wypoon Technologies. Work closely with clients and teams using Azure-based platforms in a hybrid working environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure, well-tested FastAPI services in Python, with proper async I/O, dependency management, and observability.
• Design and build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines using our internal templates.
• Deploy GenAI solutions to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) using Docker, Helm, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Integrate with Azure OpenAI or open-source models hosted on AKS, including prompt handling, streaming, fallbacks, and cost control.
• Select and tune vector search engines (e.g., Azure AI Search, pgvector on Azure PostgreSQL) and optimize retrieval.
• Collaborate with product and data teams to shape use cases, prioritize features, and iterate from PoC to production.
• Maintain clear documentation and reusable components to support knowledge sharing and adoption.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or ML engineering roles, with recent focus on GenAI applications.
• Strong experience with Python and software quality principles (typing, testing, CI/CD, containerization).
• Solid hands-on experience with FastAPI in production.
• Deep understanding of RAG, embeddings, prompt orchestration, and evaluation.
• Vector search tuning experience (chunking, hybrid/semantic search, re-ranking, metadata filtering).
• Proficiency with Azure-native tooling such as Azure OpenAI, AI Search, AKS, ACR, Key Vault, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and Helm-based deployments.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced product teams with strong focus on delivery and quality.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills — able to explain technical concepts clearly within the team.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English at B2 level or higher (speaking, writing, listening, and reading).
