Responsibilities
You will be assisting in our wholesale division, taking on duties ranging from the purchases process, including reconciling payments from customers.
This role will require you to challenge yourself in the full transactional finance cycle, contributing to the overall success of the team by supporting team members and ensuring your part in the full scope of finance processes.
Key duties include, but are not limited to: Reconciliation of supplier statements
Recording landed cost of import shipments
Facilitating international payments pertaining to imports
Performing bank reconciliations
Reviewing customer accounts and following up on overdue accounts.
Month end accounting journals
Submission of monthly VAT returns
Review of customer returns and refunds
Requirements
A completed finance related Degree or Higher National Diploma
2 – 5 years experience working within a finance team, having performed the same duties
Strong verbal and communication skills.
Experience with imports and related international payments.
Experience with supplier and customer reconciliations.
Experience with regulatory returns such as EMP201 and VAT201
Detail-oriented, analytical, and commercially astute
