About the role

• Senior Python Analyst at Fadami Software & Innovation, designing reliable services for toll road systems integration. Collaborating on architecture decisions and operational integrations with peripheral systems.

Responsibilities

• Ownership and architecture: lead the design of fault-tolerant services, binary/serial protocols, TCP sockets and connection reuse; define SLIs/SLOs and rollback plans;
• Trackside integrations: hands-on experience with peripherals configured by IP/PORT/URL/TIMEOUT and status checks (controllers, sensors, barriers, PLCs);
• Messaging and asynchronous integration: work with topics, queues and routing keys for operational events (e.g., configuration downloads, traffic, incidents);
• TAG/AVI and license plate: understanding of TAG/plate/exempt queries and consistency, OSA/emitter mapping and contingency rules (Plan B/automatic reprocessing);
• TEF/SiTef and payment methods: store/terminal configuration, IP/port, USB and consumption/receipt states;
• Images/OCR and evidence: management of the traffic photo trail and resets/consumption of photo queues;
• Technical leadership: conduct technical reviews, production diagnostics, monitoring of metrics and telemetry, and incident coordination;
• Development and operation: design, implement and operate Python services (APIs/daemons) with high availability and observability;
• Integrations and messaging: model and optimize pipelines (topics, queues, routing key) for trackside and back-office events;
• Critical integrations: orchestrate TEF/SiTef and payment methods, ensuring resilience and idempotency of transactions;
• Evidence: ensure evidence trails (photos/OCR), retention and reliable consumption.

Requirements

• 6 to 8 years of experience with Python in a multitasking programming environment (asyncio, multithreading, network I/O, profiling);
• Strong experience with TCP/UDP sockets, proprietary protocols and reconnection/retry strategies;
• Proficiency with relational databases (MySQL/SQL Server) and operation-oriented modeling; reading stored procedures, triggers and legacy domain schemas (e.g., track configurations, peripherals, TEF);
• Hands-on experience with messaging (RabbitMQ/Kafka) — topics, dead-letter queues (DLQ) and ensuring processing order;
• Experience with automated testing (unit/contract), feature flags, metrics, structured logs and tracing;
• Experience in Linux environments (systemd, journalctl, networking), containers (Docker) and CI/CD;
• Clear communication, technical leadership and incident response experience
• Differentials:
• Experience with TAG/AVI/OSAs, license plate/OCR and computer vision;
• Knowledge of TEF/SiTef, Pix and reconciliation;
• Experience optimizing MySQL queries (and performance tuning/replication) and replication; event schema design.
