About the role
- Civil Engineer in Training developing civil and municipal engineering projects for community development. Collaborating with design teams and managing construction activities across various locations.
Responsibilities
- Perform civil design and technical tasks under the supervision of the Project Manager or Project Engineer
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines
- Conduct field work/construction observation under supervision
- Perform data analysis and calculations for civil system components
- Gather data to support design decisions
- Verify compliance with codes and standards
- Analyze project solutions for reliability and efficiency
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and contractors
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Successful completion of the EIT exam or ability to take it within six months
- Related Co-op/Internship experience preferred for new graduates
- 1-2 years of related civil engineering experience preferred for more experienced engineers
- Basic understanding of civil engineering design concepts
- Ability and interest in renewable projects (solar, wind, etc.)
- Strong interest in community development engineering disciplines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Must have good driving record and valid driver’s license
