About the role
- Business Intelligence Analyst developing data extraction solutions using Python and SQL. Collaborating with business teams to meet objectives through innovative data solutions in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to Manager, Business Intelligence & Reporting, as a Business Analyst you will be responsible for developing Python and SQL programs to find innovative solutions and to extract data using different tools and technologies
- Work closely with the business to understand the objectives and propose different solutions
- Analyze requirements, questions and recommend best Ad hoc and reporting solutions
- Execute on data requests accurately and within a timely manner
- Prioritize work based on emergencies and business impacts
- Research, Investigative, solve problems and answer business queries
- Work autonomously, oversee and develop end-to-end data solutions from gathering requirements from different stakeholders
- Extract and transform data from Azure/Databrick
- Develop knowledge and understanding of tables and their relationships within different layers of Azure architecture and external data sources
- Promote innovation and maintain high-quality technical standards and best practices
- Optimize existing manual reports for increased efficiency through reduced manual effort
- Creates complex and comprehensive Business Intelligence reporting packages and dashboards using the newest technologies and support in ongoing activities
Requirements
- Graduate or undergraduate degree in Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science, or relevant field
- Minimum of (2) years of knowledge and experience of programming languages such as SQL and Python
- Experience with BI tools like Posit, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
- Experience with big data tools, such as Azure/Databrick, etc.
- Motivated to constantly strive to find innovative ways to enhance existing manual reporting
- Ability to transform by challenging the status quo and think outside the box
- Good organization skills and the ability to effectively prioritize work based on multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong research capabilities to find needed data
- Strong customer orientation and a professional approach with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization
