About the role
- Support Power BI projects, build gateways, optimize shared capacity, and guide data visualization best practices for Desjardins' data virtualization and consumption services.
Responsibilities
- Support projects that use Power BI according to established procedures (configuration, workplace security and compliance, creation of gateway connections, granting of premium capacity, building pipelines, etc.)
- Support dedicated clients on initiatives related to the use of Power BI and prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans
- Help IT and business teams adopt best practices for data visualization and consumption
- Identify opportunities to improve work methods and processes and make recommendations in line with business needs and challenges
- Help projects optimize requests to ensure optimal performance of shared capacity
- Occasionally participate in cross-sector projects to design and develop Power BI reports
- Participate in the management of the Power BI community of practice
- Help update and maintain the documentation base (Confluence) for the team and internal clients
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or a related field
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in business intelligence
- Experience with data visualization with Power BI
- Relevant Microsoft certifications
- Knowledge of French is required
- Knowledge of best practices for data visualization
- Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps
- Experience with configuration, workplace security and compliance, gateway connections, premium capacity, and building pipelines
- Ability to help IT and business teams adopt best practices and optimize shared capacity
