About the role
- Associate Electrical Engineer designing and operating protection and control systems for energy delivery ensuring safe and reliable operation of transmission and distribution systems.
Responsibilities
- Completing activities and assignments associated with the design and operation of protection and control systems
- Analyzing protection system operations and providing support to operations on unplanned maintenance
- Sharing accountability with peers in planning, project management, substation engineering, operations, and maintenance organizations
- Reviewing and evaluating proposed changes to existing electric facilities
- Creating new Protection and Control system designs in accordance with Eversource Standards
- Performing coordination studies by modeling and analyzing electric system elements
- Managing and performing work activities in a self-sufficient manner
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Individuals with a focus in electric power systems engineering are preferred
- Minimum of zero (0) to three (3) years of related Electrical Engineering experience
- Protection and Controls experience is preferred, including overcurrent and distance coordination studies with ASPEN Oneliner modeling software or equivalent
- Experience with AutoCAD and PDF software for creating and marking up drawings
