About the role
- Accountant managing financial accounting and reporting for a growing investment company in Germany. Collaborating on budget calculations and cross-department project support for optimization processes.
Responsibilities
- Take over the ongoing financial accounting for the individual companies and prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Perform budget calculations and support the preparation of analyses and reports
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code)
- Collaborate on cross-departmental projects and support the development/optimization of internal (accounting) processes
- Act as a contact person for internal and external parties (tax advisors, auditors, banks, tax office, etc.)
Requirements
- Completed commercial or tax specialist training, or a degree with a focus on finance and accounting
- At least initial professional experience in accounting
- Good knowledge of accounting in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code)
- Very good German language skills
- Excellent analytical skills, initiative, and conscientiousness
