About the role
- Mechanical Engineer I responsible for engineering compliance and vendor management in various industries. Involves project objectives, calculations, and team collaboration for process equipment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for completing project specific objectives under direction of a Senior Mechanical Engineer.
- Specify, evaluate bids, and perform vendor document review for process equipment such as pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, and heat exchangers.
- Perform calculations for equipment and piping.
- Specify Materials for process and utility piping services.
- Attend Client, Vendor, and internal team project meetings.
- Perform field surveys to collect required field data and assist with interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications in the field.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Experience applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to ensure compliance with design basis, and safety and environmental regulations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Must possess permanent authorization to work in the USA without the need of sponsorship now or in the future.
- Experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the midstream, petrochemical, refining, power and energy transition industries. (preferred)
- FE with interest in obtaining PE. (preferred)
