Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of routine architectural assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for assigned phases of a project.
- Participate in analyses required to formulate and determine design criteria for buildings, structures, systems, materials and components.
- Assist in the preparation of architectural, engineering and construction drawings, specifications, bills of material, building code reviews and cost estimates.
- Participate in studies of construction techniques and economic feasibility studies, such as the provision of “value engineering”.
- Review client requests for architectural change orders and recommend action to supervisor. Assess vendor submittals and field information requests.
- Effectively interfacing with individuals or groups representing various backgrounds, disciplines and levels of experience.
- Develop estimates and schedules, progress reports, including workforce forecasts.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture or equivalent professional experience and knowledge of Architecture. Master’s degree in architecture is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of Architectural work experience in similar industry.
- Registered as a Licensed Architect.
- Advanced experience in all phases and aspects of a project including reviewing construction documentation.
- Experience with building codes, specifications, building and engineering systems.
- Reasonable artistic skills with the capability of transferring ideas and impressions to proposals, studies, and ultimately, to working drawings.
- Proficiency with CADD systems, and other architectural software such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Must possess permanent authorization to work in the USA without the need of sponsorship now or in the future.
