About the role
- Senior Mechanical Engineer responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operation of machinery in Oil & Gas. Provide engineering support and compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide responsive technical engineering advice and service to Operational and Functional Teams
- Perform administrative tasks in an effective manner to contribute to Asset goals
- Participate in Engineering activities ensuring safety and efficiency according to business plans
- Ensure compliance with technical standards and operating procedures
- Manage costs and contracts performance
- Provide technical leadership to technician groups
- Develop and implement equipment modifications for onshore and offshore
- Capture opportunities for new technologies
Requirements
- Extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry or similar Heavy Industrial environment
- Strong technical knowledge and proven design, construction, commissioning and operational experience of rotating equipment, power generation and lifting equipment
- Knowledge of British and European Technical Standards applicable to Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment
- Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline
- Chartered Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers
- Familiar and previous experience with project management principles and fundamentals
- Available to undertake HUET and BOSIET Certification
- Understanding of Risk Assessment
- Awareness on Safety Case and Bowties approach on Major Accident Hazards
