Responsibilities
Provide evaluation and therapeutic support services for children ages birth to three years with developmental delays or disabilities
Provide coaching, consultation, counseling, and training services for caregivers of enrolled children
Be an active part of a dynamic transdisciplinary team of therapists, educators, and family resources coordinators
Assess and evaluate each child’s performance in all areas of development to determine eligibility for early support services
Participate in the development of each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
Provide direct and indirect services to children with developmental delays or disabilities in their natural learning environments
Provide support and consultation for staff, parents, and care providers utilizing a coaching model
Monitor ongoing developmental milestones in all areas of development including hearing and vision
Attend or conduct conferences/consultations with caregivers
Prepare written reports and chart notes as required
Requirements
Valid PT license in state of Washington
Valid driver’s license, current insurance, and reliable automobile required
Minimum one year of direct service experience with children and families
Knowledge of parent/caregiver coaching; experience preferred
Able to work at a center, in a family’s home, and in a variety of community settings
Current criminal background check maintained for all employees
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
