About the role
- Freelancer in Accounting & Finance supporting Finance Team with operational and strategic financial tasks in Berlin, Köln, Aachen, or remote. Managing bookkeeping, financial processes, and collaboration with controlling.
Responsibilities
- Support with ongoing bookkeeping, including recording accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, and posting credit card statements, bank statements, and cash books
- Support in preparing monthly and annual financial statements in close cooperation with our Controlling team and the external tax advisor
- Responsibility for monitoring and processing payment transactions as well as dunning/collections
- Review and account assignment of incoming invoices and ensuring timely payment
- Maintenance and management of the fixed assets register and ensuring that all investments are correctly recorded and depreciated
- Identifying improvement opportunities in existing processes and supporting efforts to increase the efficiency of our financial processes
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training (e.g., tax clerk) or a comparable qualification in the finance field
- Several years of experience in Accounting & Finance, ideally in an agency or project-based environment
- Ability to work independently and in a structured way, and to quickly become familiar with existing systems
- Solid Excel skills and ideally experience with tools such as SAP B1
- Analytical thinking, proactive working style, and the ability to present financial relationships clearly
- Reliability, discretion, and responsible handling of sensitive data
