Senior Engineer providing engineering support and oversight for structural steel modules fabrication for AP1000 European and US Domestic plants. Collaborating with supply chain and managing fabrication processes.
Responsibilities
Provide engineering support and oversight of the large structural steel modules fabrication support for AP1000 European and US Domestic plants
Drive continuous improvement of products, processes, and/or procedures to support fabrication of these modules
Working with the rest of the FFE Team, providing answers to fabricators' Request For Information (RFI), reviewing shop drawings, addressing non conformance requests, and any other way to support the fabrication of the steel modules
Coordinate with Supply Chain Team, providing updates of the tasks to support fabricators
Engage with partners, supply chain, and WEC senior management as required
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Civil/Structural or Mechanical engineer preferred
Minimum 5 years of strong and progressively structural steel design and support to fabrication
Knowledge on structural steel design and codes
Knowledge on welding design and codes
Experience with European and US nuclear quality standards and engineering change control processes preferred
Ability to organize and delegate work and ensure deliverables are completed on time with high quality
Good team building skills with ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
