About the role
- Principal Engineer-Substation managing high voltage substation projects for WECTEC Staffing Services. Overseeing projects from conception to commissioning with travel across North America.
Responsibilities
- Manage internal substation projects from initiation through completion
- Develop substation projects from conception through construction and commissioning
- Conduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
- Identify issues, measure and validate results, and implement solutions to project challenges
- Secure engineering consulting resources and develop scope of work
- Coordinate with project team members to develop and secure a substation site
- Support Transmission Services during review of interconnection documentation
- Manage development of substation design documents through various stages
- Work with EOR's for development of design documents
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 11+ years of experience in Substation design and engineering of High Voltage substation projects
- Project Engineering and Project Management experience
- Not required to stamp engineering drawings
- Travel required within North America
