About the role
- Data Engineer developing and maintaining analytical data models in a decentralized banking sector in Austria. Focused on SQL and Power BI for efficient reporting and analytics solutions.
Responsibilities
- Entwicklung, Optimierung und Betrieb von Analytischen Datenmodellen, Datenprodukten und Abfragen (Schwerpunkt SQL bzw. Spark )
- Modellierung, Transformation und Dokumentation von Datenmodellen mit dbt als Framework
- Aufbau und Weiterentwicklung von Reporting- und Analytics-Lösungen mit Power BI (Daten Produkte, Semantische Modelle, Performance-Optimierung)
- Integration, Transformation und Qualitätssicherung von Daten aus unterschiedlichen Quellsystemen
- Umsetzung von Datenpipelines entlang definierter Datenarchitekturen und Data-Lineage-Vorgaben
- Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Fachbereichen zur Übersetzung fachlicher Anforderungen in robuste technische Datenmodelle
- Durchführung von ad-hoc Analysen sowie technischer Support für bestehende Reports und Dashboards
- Mitarbeit an der Weiterentwicklung unserer Datenplattformen, Modellierungs- und Reporting-Standards
Requirements
- Abgeschlossene technische Ausbildung (HTL, Studium, ...) (Wirtschafts-)Informatik, Data Engineering, Data Science oder vergleichbare Qualifikation
- Mehrjährige praktische Erfahrung mit SQL , idealerweise im Microsoft bzw. Exasol Umfeld
- Gute Kenntnisse in Power BI (Datenmodellierung, DAX, Performance-Tuning)
- Erste Praktische Erfahrung mit dbt (SQL-basierte Transformationen, Tests, Dokumentation)
- Erfahrung mit Microsoft-basierter Datenarchitektur (z. B. MS-SQL, MS-Fabric oder Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory oder vergleichbar)
- Verständnis für Datenmodelle, Datenflüsse, Data Lineage und technische Reporting-Architekturen
- Strukturierte, lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise sowie hohe Daten- und Qualitätsaffinität
- Fähigkeit, technische Sachverhalte klar und adressatengerecht zu kommunizieren
- Teamfähigkeit, Eigenverantwortung und Umsetzungsstärke
- Sehr gute Deutsch - sowie gute Englischkenntnisse
