About the role
- Cloud Infrastructure Sr. Engineer supporting Vodafone’s cloud strategy for Telco Cloud infrastructure. Responsible for design and deployment of virtualization networks, ensuring capacity, security, and automation.
Responsibilities
- Support Vodafone’s cloud strategy by delivering Telco Cloud virtualized infrastructure in Vodafone cluster markets to enable core network onboarding
- Be responsible for the delivery lifecycle management of designed solutions within Cluster IT, GR, AL
- Coordinate suppliers, engage with peers and other stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of functionality and quality in projects
- Design and be responsible of on time & on budget NVI Delivery according to the project’s timeline
- Develop the process and automation of cloud infrastructure delivery
- Define, address, track and report on standard and guideline adherence
- Translate business language into technical requirements
Requirements
- An academic degree and at least 5 years of professional experience in cloud and virtualization
- Expert in data centre infrastructure, cloud computing and virtualization architectures (IT and Telco) delivery
- Solid understanding of virtualization (VMWare/ Openshift Cloud Platform) and containerization (Kubernetes)
- Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols (ie. BGP / ISIS / OSPF)
- Experience with kubernetes networking (CNIs, Service Mesh, Network Policies, Ingress/Egress)
- Experience with Network Load Balancers and Firewalls
- Scripting expertise is preferred (Power CLI, Powershell, Python, …)
- Customer oriented and systematic way of working
