About the role
- Engineer focusing on statics in steel construction and pipelines at Actemium. Leading a team to develop modern process and infrastructure systems for the pharmaceutical, chemical, and food industries.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform static calculations for pipe and equipment supports (SIA, Eurocode)
- Develop constructive details
- Model load-bearing structures in 3D
- Piping statics and design (EN, ASME)
- Design/analysis of special pipe supports (FEM)
- Improve processes and procedures
- Serve as technical contact for junior colleagues including quality assurance
- Technical coordination within projects
- Contribute to preparation of tender documents, project cost estimates and acceptance inspections
- Deputize for the department head
Requirements
- Degree as Dipl.-Ing., Bachelor or Master in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
- At least 7 years of professional experience in the execution of steel structure design projects
- Experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical or biotech industries is advantageous
- Understanding of force flows and structural behavior
- Familiarity with structural analysis software is an advantage, ideally Dlubal RFEM and Rohr2
- CAD skills and BIM experience are an advantage, e.g., Tekla Structures, Tricad MS, E3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit
- Fluent German and English, written and spoken
