About the role
- Quality Manager responsible for external supplier quality evaluation and development at Giesecke+Devrient in Munich. Leading quality improvement projects while collaborating with purchasing and project teams.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for all quality-related topics involving external suppliers
- Be responsible for supplier quality evaluation & development
- Lead escalated quality and improvement projects
- Develop, train and maintain methods and templates for supply chain quality
- Serve as the main contact for Purchasing and other involved teams
- Develop supplier qualification and selection processes based on process capability and capacity assessments, risk assessment & analysis
- Plan and perform supplier assessments and all audits in close alignment with the Purchasing department and project teams
- Analyze, further develop and report quality-related data (KPIs)
Requirements
- University degree in engineering, business administration or a related field
- At least five years of relevant work experience in quality management and/or purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in supply chain and quality management
- Proven experience with design and production processes
- Experience with problem-solving methods and statistical analysis
- Good knowledge of relevant ISO standards and auditor certification
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Flexibility to travel
- Fluent in English and German
