About the role
- Supervises team providing accounting, administration and investor servicing for investment companies. Acts as trusted advisor for clients while overseeing issue resolution and process changes.
Responsibilities
- Supervises a team of administrators responsible for providing accounting, administration and investor servicing to investment companies and advisers
- Serves as trusted advisor to clients by continually assessing changing business and strategies
- Acts as the escalation point for all clients assigned to the team
- Prepare or review work-papers, prepare call and distribution letters, calculate carried interest, and allocate profits and losses
- Prepare or review management fee calculations and supporting schedules
- Prepare or review work paper files for accuracy and completeness, including capital activity, income and expense accruals and investment activity
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent experience
- Five or more years of experience in alternative investments industry
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Basic knowledge of Advent applications preferred
- General knowledge and understanding of portfolio accounting and the investment management industry
- CPA or CFA certification preferred
