About the role
- Frontend Engineer developing and improving web and mobile applications at Uphold. Focusing on maintainability, performance, and security while ensuring seamless API integration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the frontend for the Uphold digital wallet, ensuring it is user-friendly, secure, and accessible across multiple devices and platforms.
- Implement new features and optimize existing functionality on both web and mobile platforms, based on product requirements and user feedback.
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and backend services seamlessly into the frontend, ensuring efficient and reliable data exchange.
- Actively participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance, working alongside cross-functional teams.
- Write clean, maintainable, scalable and high quality code that adheres to best practices and industry standards, with a focus on performance and security.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of frontend technologies and frameworks like React Native, React, XState, GraphQL, and RESTful web services.
- Strong knowledge of the mobile platform, including the React Native framework, native modules, mobile data storage, app lifecycle, network requests, performance optimization, and platform-specific considerations (iOS and Android).
- Good understanding of the web platform, including DOM, CORS, browser data storage, script loading, request/response headers and others.
- Knowledge of multiple ECMAScript standards and modern JavaScript best practices.
- Knowledge of revision control systems.
- Basic knowledge of standard development pipelines, including build and other automation tools.
- Good communication skills and a team player with the ability to work in cross-functional teams, and with a great attitude.
- Strong focus on project execution and delivery.
- Fluent written and oral English skills.
