About the role
- Backend Developer position focusing on Python and REST development at BLUME2000. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create user-friendly solutions leveraging modern technologies.
Responsibilities
- You develop backend functionality (Python, REST APIs, SQL) and provide occasional frontend support (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- You work closely with our Product Owner, other developers and the business units to help shape requirements — not just to implement them.
- You develop requirements together with the Product Owner and Project Manager (PM).
- You understand users and want to know why a feature is needed.
- You use modern tools such as AI-assisted code reviews, debugging, testing and refactoring.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills (Python preferred, but not mandatory)
- Confident working with REST APIs and SQL
- Understanding of modern software development practices rather than just “working through tickets”
- Enjoy direct collaboration with Product Owner, Project Manager and business teams
- Openness to AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, code analysis, AI-assisted pair programming)
- Willingness to find pragmatic solutions and perform refactoring in legacy/established systems
- German language skills at C1 level
