About the role

  • Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant managing financial operations, payroll, and compliance processes at Turbo Tim's. Ensures accurate books and supports team with financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business
  • Work closely with the leadership team to maintain accurate books
  • Support employee payroll and benefits administration
  • Ensure financial reporting and compliance processes are executed reliably
  • Import Daily Activity from POS, Bank, and 3rd Party Vendors
  • Pay bills and confirm contractual discounts and terms
  • Set up and collect W9s, ACH, and related documentation for vendors
  • Notify operations of any operational activity that is outside the standard practices
  • Monitor company credit card transactions
  • Reconcile statements and expenses and ensure proper QuickBooks categorization
  • Calculate and process payroll in HRIS BambooHR for company employees
  • Process payroll adjustments and corrections as needed
  • Process company payments for 401(k) contributions
  • Maintain records for employee benefit participation and payments
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements
  • Assist with month-end close and account reconciliation
  • Maintain accounting systems and financial documentation
  • Improve financial workflow processes where possible

Requirements

  • 3–7+ years bookkeeping or staff accounting experience
  • Experience processing payroll, benefits deductions, and employee withholdings
  • Experience preparing monthly financial statements
  • Detailed fluency and use of QuickBooks Online
  • Experience processing sales and use tax filings
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work on-site required (with flexibility for periodic off-site if desired)
  • Self-motivated and strong accountability to deliverables
  • Comfort working in a growing, nimble small-business environment
  • Collaborative, curious and process improvement mindset
