- Senior Java Developer delivering solutions and supporting Java products across International Data Acquisition applications at TransUnion. Partnering with teams for effective application development and quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Partner with internal business resources and technical teams to analyze requirements to deliver solutions to complex issues.
- Participate in design, development and maintenance of code to ensure consistency, quality, best practices and performance of applications.
- Train, coach and support the Java product suite across the International Data Acquisition applications.
- Guide junior resources occasionally as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams.
- Ensure Transunion design patterns, frameworks, and architectural standards are implemented consistently within billing applications.
- Accountability for quality of code and application development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of development experience with any modern programming language (Java, C++, .Net, Python, AngularJS…)
- Strong computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures etc.)
- Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
- Strong grasp of object oriented design and programming principles
- In depth understanding of OOPS concepts and design patterns
- Broad understanding of distributed systems concepts, authN/Z (OAuth2, etc.) and API
- Strong database skills and experience with SQL, NoSQL databases
- SCM and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Maven, Git, etc.
- Experience/Interest in containerizing and running productions systems in public cloud
- Passion to automate everything.
