About the role
- Accountant managing financial functions for Transoft Solutions' NL subsidiary. Responsibilities include accounts payable, receivable, and supporting EMEA subsidiaries with accounting needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform overall accounting functions for our NL subsidiary
- Provide back-up accounting support for other subsidiaries in EMEA
- Responsible for Accounts Payable tasks including posting of invoices received into Business Central
- Set-up payments of invoices due, including via SEPA and other online payment processes
- Assist with credit card expense verifications and personal expense claims
- Perform weekly collections on past due customers
- Prepare and distribute monthly AR reports
- Assist with auditors’ requests
- Perform monthly inter-company transactions
- Assist with annual audit preparation
- Perform monthly bank account reconciliations
- Responsible for any regulatory and/or government filings
- Reconcile monthly general ledger accounts
- Perform monthly payroll related payments
- Support manager with implementing process improvements
- Perform other tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements
- You have a degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience
- Working knowledge of Business Central is an asset (not mandatory)
- Fluent in both Dutch and English
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages
- Familiar with GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles)
- High attention to detail and deliver accurate results
- Intermediate proficiency with MS office, particularly Excel and Word
- Self-starter and problem solver who can prioritize tasks effectively
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
