About the role
- Financial Reporting/Investment Accounting Internship providing daily financial reporting and investment tasks for TMNAS. Collaborating with the Financial Reporting team on various deliverables and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing day to day financial reporting and investment accounting tasks for TMNAS and the business units it supports.
- Assist members of the Financial Reporting GAAP/IFRS team in monthly/quarterly deliverables
- Prepare and compile supporting documentation for IFRS Reporting
- Gather summarize data from IFRS communications with Home Office/External Audit/Internal Audit
- Support Financial Reporting team initiatives and various projects
- Provides support to Accounting Manager – Investment Accounting
- Prepares various month-end and quarter-end investment account reconciliations
- Assists in the preparation of internal investment schedules
- Assists in the preparation of various internal reporting files related to the investment portfolio
Requirements
- Must be actively enrolled in undergrad or grad program with a major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, etc.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Good communication skills to provide information to business units
- Strong organizational skills: Planning, organizing, prioritizing tasks; the ability to work with deadlines and communicate with the department if a deadline might be missed
- Strong customer service skills in order to respond to employee inquiries and management requests (i.e., responsive, collaborative, accurate)
- Emotional maturity to be able to responsibly work with confidential and sensitive Company information
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Superior attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
