Responsibilities
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to design scalable, resilient, and high-performing software solutions with strong product and domain understanding
Contribute to the technical design and hands-on implementation of key initiatives, working closely with product owners, architects, and engineering teams
Drive engineering excellence through high-quality code contributions, thorough code reviews, robust testing strategies, and continuous improvement practices
Apply and promote industry best practices, coding standards, and development processes across projects
Mentor and support junior engineers through knowledge sharing, technical guidance, and constructive feedback
Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality software solutions, support sound technical decisions, and ensure timely execution of project milestones
Participate in Agile ceremonies and planning sessions with Product Owners and engineering teams to align priorities, technical feasibility, and delivery goals
Identify technical risks, contribute mitigation strategies, and help resolve complex engineering challenges
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and operational excellence within the team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering
3+ years of hands-on software development experience with a strong track record of delivering scalable and reliable software solutions
Proven experience contributing to the design and delivery of complex software projects and distributed systems
Strong software engineering skills with the ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and contribute to technical decision-making
Advanced proficiency in JVM-based languages such as Java and Scala
Interest in working with Scala and willingness to explore functional programming paradigms
Deep understanding of software design patterns, architectural principles, and system design best practices
Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker
Strong expertise in relational database management systems
Good understanding of enterprise architecture concepts including scalability, system integration, security, reliability, and testing strategies
Proficiency with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems
Strong commitment to writing clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code
Experience implementing automated testing and quality assurance practices across the development lifecycle
Ability to quickly learn, adapt, and work effectively in changing technologies, business needs, and priorities
Agile mindset with the flexibility to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and organizational levels.
